ThawPrep started with a frozen chicken breast at 5:47pm — and the realization that every “solution” was a bad one. The microwave half-cooks it. Hot water is unsafe. Waiting takes hours.
So we built the board we wanted on our own counter: one side is a rapid defrosting tray with a highly conductive defrosting core that thaws meat naturally, up to 3x faster than leaving it out. The other side is a spacious non-slip chopping surface. Then we kept going — a whetstone in the handle, a garlic grinder in the corner, a rubberized rim that locks to the counter. Four tools, one board, zero clutter.

Why we make one product
Focus is the feature.
We'd rather perfect one essential tool than ship a catalog of average ones. Every improvement we make — the core, the rim, the whetstone geometry — goes into the same board you already own the next time you replace it. No line extensions, no filler, no “pro” version withholding features. Just the best prep board we know how to build.
